Trump's Family Member Seeks Expert Tips from Tiger Woods Ahead of Professional Golf Debut
The rising star has impressive online presence
Kai Trump will have multiple high-profile backers when she makes her LPGA debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is connected to Donald Trump, was granted a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, an avid golfer, owns several golf courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she mentioned.
She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa practically advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, so he's rather occupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has played in just three tournaments this year and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
But she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He represents the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's an even better person. He suggested me to compete, have fun, and go with the flow."
She'll challenge several top competitors in professional golf at the competition, such as world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that Kai's presence exposes the sport to different demographics, specifically with youth audiences.
The social media influencer maintains substantial online presence and just introduced a personal apparel and wellness label.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
